Iris Watercolor Class with Resident Instructor Becky Duncan - Saturday, May 10th 1:30-3:30pm
Class Descriptions: This in-person 2-hour course is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of watercolor painting, but is also beneficial to those with some art background. As a science illustrator, I'll go over the basics of outlining and sketching the form of the subject (in this case, an iris!), recognizing light and shadow areas, using color theory, and how to perform basic watercolor techniques and washes. You'll get to bring home your finished products (two of them!): a hand-painted card (perfect for Mother's Day) and an 8x10" watercolor to keep for yourself!
