Beginner Sewing Benefit with Sew Powerful
Class Descriptions: Advance your sewing skill while sewing a purse to hold period products for girls in third world countries. Finished project will be donated to “Sew Powerful.”
The Sew Powerful Purse Project
We are working hard to link seamstresses from around the world to combat extreme poverty by providing re-usable feminine hygiene supplies and health training to girls in Zambia. This enables them to attend school all month and improve their academic performance.*
Date and Time: Saturday, January 4th 1:30-3:30
Recommended for ages: 16+ individuals with familiarity sewing on a machine.
Class fee helps cover the cost of materials. Purses will be donated to “Sew Powerful” to be sent to recipients in need.
24 hour advance notice for registering online. If registering within the 24 hour window please call to make sure we have enough supplies prepared (530)334-3442. No refund if cancelled within 72 hours of the class.
